The Church has a pastoral team to support the minister, specifically where there is a need for on-going visits offering a deeper level of care, e.g. those who have been bereaved or have on-going health issues.
If you feel you would like a visit from one of the pastoral team (some of whom have been trained in counselling skills) please contact the church or let the minister or the session clerk know and they will bring this information to the team.
We arrange afternoon teas which are held in the church hall throughout the year for the housebound. We also have an afternoon tea to thank and support the Visiting Teams (including the Tuesday squad) and the Sunday car pool volunteers on behalf of the church. The teas give the opportunity to meet up with old friends; and share in worship, praise and, for want of a better description, entertainment - usually provided by the pastoral team!
We are always open to expanding the role of the Pastoral Team so, if you see a need that is not currently being covered and falls under this remit, please contact us.
